Wet Illustrators-Satellite Kids
To celebrate the cool weather that has graced my state I decided to buy this album. While listening to it on a bike ride I decided it’s really a great fall record!
It starts off very unorganized and loud but soon settles into a nice soft bed of indie garage rock that anyone can, and should, love.

ALBUM RELEASE PICK OF THE WEEK
Thee Oh Sees-Castlemania
Thee Oh Sees is a garage rock band that has consistently put out album after album the past few years and this year we were blessed with the follow up to Warm Slime. This album is a very straight forward garage Rick album on the surface but really it’s extremely experimental. They use sounds and fuzz as elements to add to the song rather than part of it, but using them makes the songs grander. Sometimes they create a intricate song, and other times it’s a straight forward rock song. The lead singers voice is also intriguing because it’s rough and edgy rather than lazy and smooth like most garage rock. It reminds me of a monster voice in those old horror shows and frankly that makes me more interested. It’s extremely unique and I can pick it out of a crowd of voices. Either way this album is very diverse and perfect for anyone who is looking for a nice garage rock album with some fuzz on the edges.
*I know this album came out a while back but there really wasn’t anything I extremely loved this week.
Ty Segall-Goodbye Bread
This is probably the album I am anticipating the most, for the summer coming up. I have love Ty Segall since Melted, that was released last year. He seems like a Jay Retard look alike, but really he’s his own style. Ty really drives off his catchy but aggressive garage rock tunes. It’s been hyped up by Ty Segall as a “serious” album. He’s keeping his garage rock roots but becoming more serious with songwriting. He says we should concentrate on that. That fact alone gets me excited for this albums release.
Is anyone else interested in this release?
